1.     Nine students of Air Force School Hebbal have cleared NDA.  One student Kumari Aditi Prakash has cleared SSB.

2.   Master Siddartha secured third place in Class XII Commerce stream board results under Bengaluru Sahodaya Schools Complex Association among 500 schools.

 

3.     Master Deborah Sunil George of Class VII secured 28th zonal rank in Science Olympiad in Karnataka.                      

Sports

 1.    S Tanvi of Class X won two Gold Medals in Under-17 and Under-20 Karnataka State Championship in Fencing conducted on 30 Sep & 01 Oct 23.  

2.      R Akshay Shet of Class XII participated in all five events and won five gold medals and Saiesh Kini of Class VIII won bronze medal in 100M breaststroke in CBSE South Zone U-19 swimming competition held from 29 Dec to 04 Dec 22 at Bengaluru.  R Akshat Shet has won gold medal under 200M & 50M freestyle in the ongoing CBSE National level swimming competition being held at Rajkot from 21 to 23 Jan 23.

3.         Master Harshal Singh of Class XII won Bronze medal in 1500M race in CBSE Athletics Meet held from 29 Nov to 01 Dec 22 at Moodabidre, Mangaluru.

4.         Master Harsha of Class VI won first prize in Kata and third position in in Kumite (Karate skills) of Karnataka State level Martial Arts competition concluded on 03 Dec 22.

 

 5.    Bhavin of Class III won two gold medals and one silver medal in International Karate Championship held in Malaysia from 11 - 13 May 23.

6.         Aarav Roy Choudhary of Class V bagged the winner’s trophy, certificate, gold medal and cash prize of Rs.5,000/- in the Inter School chess competition held on 17 Aug 23 at Macs Experra 2023 conducted by APS (PRTC) among the ten school students.

7.         Master Saiesh Kini of Class IX won bronze medal in CBSE South zone swimming Championship at Trivandrum from  27 - 30 Oct 23.

8.         Kumari Tanvi S of Class X won cash prize of Rs.30,000/- and first place in Mysuru Dasara CM Cup fencing championship on 20 Oct 23.

2.         Master Mukul Reddy of Class X has won Bharat Scout Rajya Puraskar for the year 2021-22 known as the Governor’s Award, the highest award a Scouts and Guides earn at the State-level on completion of 13 years of age and after being taught by trained Scout Master and Guide Captain and undergoing a State-level testing by a team of qualified examiners on 28 Feb 23. 

 

Inter School Co-curricular Activities

 

 1.     Kum Varchaswi of Class V secured first position and a gold medal in Bharathanatya competition conducted by Veda Sanskrithi Natyalaya, Karnataka.           

2.     Three students participated in CBSE Science Exhibition on 09 & 10 Dec 22 at Silicon city Academy of Secondary Education, Kanakapura, Bengaluru and exhibited two projects designed and developed by the students namely, “DOCS” (Dustbin Overflow Cleanliness System) and “World’s first AI Enabled Smart Seed Bank”

3.         Kum Myra Grover of Class X was selected as Tiger Ambassador of State organized by “Kids for Tiger” an Sanctuary Nature Foundation NGO and attended regional camp at Nagarahole along with Mrs Syeda Mehnaz TGT from 26 to 28 Feb 23     

4.        Kum. Myra Grover of Class X B won first prize in AFWWA Declamation contest held on          01 Jul 23.

5.         Master Aarush of Class IV B & Kumari Eva Raj of Class VIII bagged first position in drawing competition and essay writing competition respectively held at Rashtriya Military School on               16 Aug 23 and won Decathlon bicycles as prize.  The students won among six participated schools.

6.         AFS Hebbal bagged first position in Rangoli competition, Second place in Dance competition and third place in clay modeling competition held at AF Yelahanka, an annual Inter school Karwaan Fest on 21 Aug 23.

7.     Master Devansh Singla of Class IV C has bagged first prize in the Interschool Drawing competition held by BSNL on an invitation towards celebration of BSNL Day 2023 in Bengaluru region.

Atal Tinkering Lab

1.       A team of students of various classes have designed prototypes of ATL Management Software, Class XI admission software, ATL store, question bank etc.

2.         Air Force School Hebbal (AFSH) Bangalore conducted a 3-month long inter-ATL leadership-development programme called Tinker Champ between August and October 2021.  Tinker Champ is a student-driven and mentor-assisted initiative for ATL students that aim to develop 21st-century skills and leadership qualities among student tinkers. It enabled students to spread a culture of tinkering, innovation, and entrepreneurship far and wide in their schools and communities by empowering them to take initiatives and drive actions that make an impact on the ground.  

       

 

They also developed several eLearning resource materials including websites, videos, eBooks, tutorials, podcasts, eBooks, blogs, websites, quizzes, and games for the benefit of tinkerers.  In addition, the students built seven ATL websites loaded with innovation management tools and eLearning resources to support budding tinkerers in their ATLs.  In the process of participating in the ATL Tinker Champ Club, these students will be able to acquire 21st-Century skills, develop leadership skills & entrepreneurial traits, and also have the opportunity to be recognized as Change Makers.   

3.         “Seed the Future Entrepreneurs Programme” hosted by La Foundation Dassault Systems congratulated our school for being in the top 30 of the AIM’s SEP programs in India and also for being selected in the “SEP: MadeIn3D - Seed the Future Entrepreneurs” program Season         2022-23  in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog Govt of India. Six of our students from class VII to IX are part of this program and are currently attending the mentoring sessions and would be creating a 3D product to solve and address any of the societal issues.  A grant in aid of Rs.21,500/- has been received on 25 Nov 22 towards development of idea into prototype from La Foundation Dassault Systems.  

 4.       Ms. Srushti Sandeep of Class VIII presented a prototype winning accolades in ATL Community Day Challenge (*De weeding – in 2022) and Ms Padmini of Class IX presented a prototype (*Tonal quality detector – in 2022) and won a cash prize of Rs.10,000/- each at The INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) organized by National Innovation Foundation – India under Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India. 

            * The prototype “Deweeding” help the farmers to cut the weeds with ease and also cleans them from the farm without disturbing the soil fertility.  The solutions already available in the market affect the soil fertility.   The prototype “Tonal Quality Detector” help singers identify their tonal quality and pitch it with the use of AI to analyse and come up with warm up exercises, thus retaining the voice and preventing harm to the voice during practice sessions.

5.         On the occasion of Children’s Day on 14 Nov 22, NIti Aayog CEO Sri Parameswaran Iyer interacted with Master Vijaysubramanian S of Class XII and shared his experiences in ATL digital skilling, product designing, idea igniting, prototyping and converting idea into product thus achieving entrepreneurial skills.

6.         Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NIti Aayog has appreciated Teachers Summit as a best practice and wants all ATLs throughout India to adopt. The glimpses of events were showcased live on 20 Jan 23.

7.         The team of Master Kushal Haibatti and Master Divyam Gandhi of Class VIII has made it to Top 100 Team list in ATL Tinkerpreneur 2022 Bootcamp Pan India conducted during May & Jun 22. The overall objective of the bootcamp is to equip students with foundational knowledge of digital and entrepreneurial skills for creating their own digital product and venture by the end of the bootcamp.           

8.         Kum Saanvi Nazre D/o of Ex Sgt V Lakshmi Narayana Rao of Class VIII participated in 42 hour coding event of Hack club, Epoch competition from 30 Dec 22 to 01 Jan 23 at Gurugram, Delhi NCR.   The student has been selected based on the Tinkerpreneur accomplishments held at National level in 2021 PAN India.

9.         The following three students and one escort teacher participated in National Technology Day event at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi (Hall No.5&4) from 11 to 14 May 23 on an invitation from AIM.  The project “Vertical Farming” displayed at the stall was appreciated by Dr Jitendra Singh MoS Science & Technology, Govt of India and reputed entrepreneurs showed interest in investing on the project.
